Nowa Ruda is a city that is not much on the map Polish. The market here is a bit "downhill" or "uphill". The village is located at an altitude between 360 and 420 m above sea level.m, in the valley of the Włodzica River and its tributaries, in the Noworudzki Depression, between the Owl Mountains and the Włodzickie Hills, in the north-western part of the Kłodzko Land.On the outskirts of Nowa Ruda, provincial roads 381 and 385 intersect. It is also an important station of the Wałbrzych – Kłodzko railway line.

Nowa Ruda Municipal Municipality is an independent unit of local government, having legal personality, established to organize public life on its territory. As part of its own tasks, the Municipality of m.in. is obliged to take care of the protection of the environment and nature, as well as municipal greenery and trees, hence the implementation of this project.

Like most cities in the country, we are struggling with the problem of unusing the potential of rainwater, air pollution and the phenomenon of the so-called urban heat island. The city has a higher than average for the voivodship and Polish amount of precipitation. In addition, due to the mountainous nature, there are many slopes in the city, which are exposed to erosion during rainfall.
